The Apartment
A modern, spacious (90sq mtr) second-floor apartment, that sleeps 6 to 7 with one double and one twin bedroom, and a double sofa-bed and folding bed in the lounge area. Fully equipped kitchen ideal for self-catering, bathroom with shower, separate WC, a very large lounge/dining room, balcony and a lockable ski-room in the cellar all help to make it an easy, carefree vacation.
This apartment is situated in a quiet, residential area of Hermagor. Views of the mountains from the balcony and nature at your doorstep make it an ideal holiday location. A 10 minute stroll will take you to the town centre with its variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. With plenty of walks and nature trails on offer and a train running along the Gail valley it’s easy to get around even without a car.
Hermagor - Skiing
The resort of Hermagor is set in the middle of the beautiful Gail valley in Carinthia, Austria’s southernmost county, close to the border to Italy and Slovenia. The Nassfeld ski arena is only 10 minutes away by car, and the free ski bus runs daily at regular intervals. Nassfeld is the biggest ski area of Carinthia with thirty cableways and ski lifts and over one hundred kilometers of pistes of all difficulty levels. With the new Millenium Express, skiers and snowboarders are easily transported from Troepolach into the skiing area. As well as skiing, Nassfeld offers fun parks for snow boarders, cross country skiing, sledging and curling and the Bobo Club for children from the age of 2.
Summer in Hermagor
The summer in Hermagor equally has a lot to offer. With the Pressegger Lake and its lidos only minutes away a swim can cool you off even on the hottest summer’s day. The Weissensee and Lake Whörth, both easily reachable by car, offer sailing and boating facilities. Of course not only the water sport enthusiasts are blessed in Hermagor, but it is also a great place for the hiking lovers, with four hundred kilometers of well marked hiking paths of all difficulty levels in the valley and in the higher areas secured climbing trails and spectacular panoramic views. Or, on an inactive day, why not nip over to Italy for a pizza or take a day trip to Slovenia or pay a visit to Villach or the old renaissance town of Klagenfurt for sight-seeing or a day’s shopping.
